Frequently Asked Questions
I recently got asked some questions for a Mexican magazine, and I decided to just convert my responses into a FAQ. So here it is...

What was the first thing you directed?
Which is the work you've done that you're the happiest about?
How did you decide to be a director?
How do you come up with your ideas?
What are your future plans?
What advice would you give to people that want to direct?

My two favorite videos are the Gold Chains "I Come From SF" video and his "Nada" video. I like the "I Come From SF" video because it was the first real video I did, and we had no money, and we did it totally guerilla style and got a ton of friends to help out. I love how it seriously reps San Francisco, and I think the shot of Josh Clayton sun bathing with the reflector is one of the best things I have ever shot. I edited the whole thing at my house in LA, and then drove up to SF with my desktop computer in the back of my Cadillac and stayed on Jon Santos' couch for a week while he did the After Effects. We weren't making the video for any label or for any intended output, just simply for the love of the music, and as something to do. But the video holds up and I still think it's one of my best.

The Nada video is one of my favorites just because it reminds me of what a great time we had making it. I stayed at Josh & Sue's house in SF for two weeks while we worked day in and day out on the animation. It was pretty grueling, but we drank a lot of beer and had a lot of fun doing it. That's the key to making stuff, try and work with your friends and have as much fun as you can (and drink a lot). If it's not fun to make, it probably won't turn out that well, or at least that's been my experience.

I am also a big fan of the Dizzee Rascal video. I love the end of it especially.
